Electronic Vehicle Revenue Licence Service Temporarily Suspended in Eight Provinces

Vehicles and a Sri Lankan vehicle revenue licence

The eRL 2.0 service for issuing electronic vehicle revenue licences has been temporarily suspended from September 25 in Sri Lanka’s eight provinces other than the Western Province.

The service will be unavailable through September 28 in the Central, North Central, North Western, Southern, Eastern, Northern, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces.

The temporary interruption is due to scheduled technical upgrades intended to improve the performance, stability and service capacity of the electronic vehicle revenue licence system.

Following completion of the upgrades, the electronic revenue licence service is expected to resume as usual on Tuesday, September 29.

Vehicle owners planning to renew their revenue licences in the eight affected provinces, including the Northern and Eastern provinces, should take this temporary interruption into account.
