Two Bangladeshi Nationals Sentenced to Death in Saudi Arabia under ‘Taʿzir’!

Two Bangladeshi Nationals Sentenced to Death in Saudi Arabia under ‘Taʿzir’!

According to references numbered 5133 and 513 in hadith collections such as Sahih al-Bukhari, which are held in high esteem and regarded as religiously authoritative in Islamic tradition, particularly among Sunni Muslims,

the Prophet, peace be upon him, at the age of 50, entered into a marriage contract with Aisha, a six-year-old child,

and is said to have consummated the marriage when that child, Aisha, was nine years old. In the name of the prophetic tradition attributed to this messenger of God, who said that God had spoken, together with interpretations of the law,

how many more lives will be claimed by this brutality that has emerged in the name of religion?

Is it moral to take lives by seeking justification for killing in the words “God said,” “the Prophet said” or “it is in the hadith”? Or is tormenting people and shedding their blood the path of God?

Does religion mean forgetting humanity, nurturing religious fanaticism and extinguishing lives on this earth?

Has this cruel ideology of raising the sword, glorifying violence and sowing death in the name of religion remained unchanged even after 1,400 years? Has it failed to fade even through contact with the civilized world?

If this is how they are even in the modern world, pause to consider what they might have been like a thousand years ago.
