Quebec Provincial Election: Advance Voting on September 27 and 28

With Quebec's provincial election scheduled for October 5, advance voting will take place on Sunday, September 27, and Monday, September 28. Polling stations will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on both days. Eligible voters may use this option whether or not they are unavailable on election day.
Voters should first confirm their assigned advance polling station rather than going to any polling location. They can enter their address on the Élections Québec website to find where to vote. The notice of entry mailed near the beginning of the election period also lists the location, dates and hours of their advance poll.
To vote, a person's name and current home address must be on the list of electors. They must be a Canadian citizen aged at least 18 on election day and have lived in Quebec for at least six months. Checking registration before heading to the polls is therefore important.
Voters must bring an accepted form of identification, such as a Quebec driver's licence, health insurance card or Canadian passport. The mailed notice or reminder card alone is not an identification document, but voters do not need to have those cards in hand to cast a ballot. An alternative identity-verification process is available for those without a standard accepted document.
Those who cannot vote on September 27 or 28 can vote on election day, October 5. Other options include voting at a returning officer's office on specified days. Locations and opening hours vary, so voters should check Élections Québec before travelling.

Élections Québec has warned that the World Cycling Championships in Montreal on September 27 may affect access to advance polling locations in the Borduas, Chambly, La Pinière and Mont-Royal–Outremont electoral divisions. Voters in those areas should check access to their polling place before setting out.
